In this three-part drawing series, I aimed to demonstrate the positive and negative evocations of brutalism. My drawings were partly visually inspired by the isometric wall drawings of Sol LeWitt, and my sculptures sought to introduce such forms into the third dimension. Via the contrast of the harsh concrete textures and sharp lines with the visually appealing geometric nature of the forms, I sought to prompt viewers to question the beauty, or lack of beauty, in the brutal forms.
